Privacy and Divorce

Posted on February 28th, 2013

Going through fresh procedures of a divorce is emotional and stressful, and added privacy invasions are the LAST thing you want during such times. So if you are still in the process of court cases and lawyers it is essential to be mindful of certain precautions that are sometimes necessary.

Be selective

Boasting about a new car or uploading photos of a brand new piece of furniture or hot new spouse can and will be used against you in divorce court. Privacy issues do not apply when you post something on Facebook.
It is in NO way wrong to do such things; if you’ve got yourself something new then by all means tell your close friends and invite them over to see your exciting new steps! Nonetheless it is wise to be careful as to how you go about announcing such things, especially while still in the process of developing paper work and court cases.

On the internet and privacy

Internet dating can be an intimidating thought for a lot of people and is not for everyone. But funnily enough in today’s society it is testimonial to having great success for many people and new relationships! But if you are considering this or already acting on this make sure you are careful about what you say and do, whether online, in private or anywhere else, for that matter.

Anonymity is an issue that any single person should seriously think about before they go jumping into online dating. All “free dating sites” are open networks; friends, co-workers or enemies can browse through your personal information and photos. Free sites have many of the features that paid sites have but they come at a cost to your privacy.

Food for thought

These are just certain things to think about for your protection of privacy. After all, you are starting a new chapter of your life! Now is a good time to think of who is beneficial for you to have around in these times — namely friends and family that will support you in this time and not blurt your things out to everyone.
Privacy comes at NO COST, so in the interests of easing your pressure and heartache, be careful how much promote on the internet even if only in social settings. Don’t refrain from sharing your progress to those close to you; just think about the ways to do so carefully.
